"Having not long moved to a new house with a sizeable conservatory, it soon became clear that it was effectively an unusable space — too hot in the summer and baltic in the winter. We decided to replace the glazed roof with a more conventional roof and received a number of quotes from national and local suppliers. Simon at Southside was installing the same warm roof system as much larger suppliers with the same guarantees but at a much more reasonable price. Install was 4–5 weeks away, the roof was installed and plastered internally in less than a week, and the team were quick, polite, clean and reliable. Delighted with the end result — exceeded expectations. Would have no hesitation recommending Simon and Southside Better Roofs."

It was a challenging one in terms of the shape and how it was attached to the house, but they achieved it. The overall appearance has improved the conservatory from the original glass roof. Our concerns were that it would darken the lounge to which the conservatory is attached, but that's not the case and the comfort it provides is immediately evident — should have done it a long time ago. "Fantastic service from start to finish. We have just had our old leaking conservatory roof replaced by Southside Better Roofs and the team have done a superb job. Simon gave clear advice and kept us informed throughout. The team installed a new strong, fully insulated roof frame, bricked up one of the walls and again made sure it was insulated to avoid cold spots. The slate-style tiles blend beautifully with the original tiles on the main house, and the plastered ceiling and wall were completed to the highest standard. Simon even suggested an oak tie beam — the chaps fitted the beam we sourced at no extra cost and it looks absolutely stunning. As a former engineer, I really appreciated the high level of workmanship, attention to detail and quality materials. A huge thank you to Simon, Mark, Matt, Cody and George."
